I was born in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Austin the summer before third grade. I attended Bridge Point as a student the very first year it was opened! After three years at Bridge Point I headed just down the street to St. Stephens for middle and high school. I attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development in 2011. In 2017 I received my master's in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University. I came to Bridge Point two years ago from Austin ISD where I spent six years as a kindergarten and first grade teacher at Hill Elementary. My passion for helping build students' character and facilitating their social and emotional growth led me from the classroom to my role as a school counselor. In my free time I love to travel, spend time with my family and friends, and run town lake with my two dogs, Wrigley, Lincoln, and Moose. Over the summer I married another former Bridge Point Bobcat, changing my last name from Edwards to McBride!
